Default My 3 blew 2 airlines and didn't fault... what?

So over this past weekend I did my front air struts. It went pretty well the some of the old studs snapped off but that actually made it easier. I went with Arnott struts and they came with the newer style push to connect airline fittings. I followed the directions and pushed the airline in and gave it a little tug to make sure the teeth bit. Well the install went well no faults and the new springs aired right up and they drove great. Until.... I was sitting in a parking lot and I hear one loud hiss. Followed with the dread of my front left sinking. Shortly after the front right did the same. What I expected was my Christmas of lights but instead.... the truck showed it went into extended mode and said lower suspension once obstacle clear. I plugged in my IID tool.... Nothing. I re attached the airlines and went on my way and drove the truck hard the next 20 miles to see if it would do it again and it has not.

I have 2 concerns why did the truck not fault when it blew 2 lines. Faults are annoying but they serve a purpose to tell you when somethings wrong. Second why did those fittings blow when I know for certain the lines were seated. I tugged on them hard when installed and they didn't come out. I like the ease of the push to connect but it scares me if that were to happen at 65 MPH. Im going to call Arnott today.

Not sure about why it showed extended mode, but that’s the thing about faults, only as good as the interpreter.

the push fittings are not a new style. They are the same as you removed.

I can guarantee that you didn’t push the hoses in far enough and they were holding on by a thread. There is a raised line on the tube, you need to push in as close to that line as posssible.

I have installed countless arnott bags and never had one let go.

You don’t touch the brass connectors, remove white plug, and push in tube to within 2-3mm of raised line.

save yourself an embarrassing call and go push those lines in all the way.
