My engine keeps turning off on me and sometimes offers a reduced engine performance alert

 

U need to get it looked at asap

 

MAF Sensor, Throttle Body, Thermostat....

 

Surely codes?

 

My truck would give the reduced engine performance message occasionally. It also stalled at times when I'd put it in reverse to back into my driveway. Codes pointed to MAF -- Cleaned throttle body, haven't seen it since (few thousand miles now)

Throttle body cleaner and some very basic hand tools -- anyone should be able to do this job in about 30 mins and the can of throttle body cleaner might be $8.

As others suggested, get the codes read, but I'd do this as step #1, since it's cheap and easy.
