New Rims and pressure sensors
The hard aluminum style stems are not used as much any longer. They have a problem with the valve caps not coming off or corroding and breaking the stem off. Now the common style is a snap in rubber stem that has the sensor screwed to the inside end of the stem. Normally they come with two radio waves either 315mhz or 433mhz. Both are made in after market brands that cost about $70.00 each. Most tire shops should be able to fit and learn the sensors for your truck.
Say for instance I wanted to sell my current rim. I wanted to keep the rubber and sell just the rims.
I take the rubber off and what do I have?
I have 4 rims and each rim should have that radio sensor in it right?
Its part of the rim and not the tire correct?

What I meant was it would still be attached to the rim. It would not just fall out. Something has to hold it to the rim, clips etc.
So if I took the tires off the rim the part would stay on the rim unless I did additional work to remove this part from the rim.
Meaning people have to manually remove them from a rim, they don't fall off on their own?
