Default New Upstream O2 sensor totally stuck

Hey gang,

I put in some new Upstream o2 sensors to solve a problem. I decided to be dumb and bought cheap aftermarket ones thinking that I would just return them if they were faulty.

I got the old ones out with little trouble, finger tightened the new ones in finished them with a ratchet.

Long story short, one has failed. The one behind the drive shaft. I tried to remove it but I couldn't. I took it to a mechanic and they tried everything including managing to fit an impact to it. It would not budge a bit. I have absolutely no idea what happened. It's somehow welded itself into place?

At this point I am thinking I can drill a small hole somewhere and put in a clamp on O2 sensor bung. I don't think there is any clearance to weld something in.

Does anyone have a better idea?.
