There was another outfit in Texas that we worked with, have you called your local dealer to see what they would charge to flash ECU/ECM?
Thanks for the recommendations, I will try to find them and see what they offer.
I live in the woods, literally in the woods. I do not have a "local dealer" the closest one is 2 hours away. In fact the closest shop that will even look at our LR3 is 45 minutes away. The guy at the "local" O'Reilly's said I should buy a jeep. I politely replied.... no.

The journey continues.

My issue is fixed now. It was the cluster. Hope your chase turns up well!

Glad to hear that. Hope it goes well in the future.

NOW a question.
I have a 2008 with 2 keys and a bad CJB. I also have a 2005 with a good CJB and 1 key: Could I be able to swap the 2005 CJB into the 2008 and be able to start the car with the 2005 key?

I am trying to avoid the cost of a cloning service. If it were not so difficult to install the CJB I would just try it, but I don't want to waste 4 hours to remove, replace just to learn it won't work and have to remove it again just to ship them off.
Time vs money vs pain vs value of return says just send it off, but I am curious.

Has anyone tried this before?

Jeff

Default UPDATE: It is Alive!

Since I am waiting on parts for the solar farm project, I spent some time on the rover.

For those wanting the short answer:
It was a wire chewed up by a mouse.

For those who want more info:
ODB socket readings showed 120 ohms and Medium speed CAN BUS. Since the CJB (or body control module) contains the second 120 ohm resister and is at the end at the end of the medium speed, that makes sense. Since the GAP tool showed faults on the TPMS we figured that TPMS was working and the fault was between the TPMS and the CJB. Jumpers were made at the right hand foot well from connectors 2411 and 2239 and showed a break so the wires were traced from the right hand footwell toward the TPMS and a small mouse nest was found at the base of the left hand "C" pillar with 2 wires chewed on.

So now we are back up and running. I plan to double my pest control efforts this fall to help prevent further "teeth damage".
