Default Noise when shifting directions

2007 LR3

When I shift from Park to Drive, or Drive to Reverse, or Reverse to Drive, I hear a metallic “tink” from the rear half of the vehicle.

I had the rear differential replaced a few months back.

My first thought was the UV joint, but I can’t find that part on any website.

What say y’all?

Transmission pall, maybe. Do you use the parking brake? If so, do you set it by applying it then shifting into N, releasing the foot brake and the shifting to P?

Can’t count the last time I used the parking brake. Hasn’t been used in months, and have used it less than 5x in the years I’ve owned it. I will say the few times I used it, I didn’t use it like you described.
