What would allow my LR3 to roll back in park

LR3 rolled back in park...psa: set parking brake
Was on a off road trip today and my LR3 rolled back 5 feet or so on an incline while in Park. It had been sitting there for a moment or two. I did not set the parking brake. I thought it was sliding in loose dirt. But others said it was rolling. I had climbed out and closed the door. I realized it had started rolling and was able to jump in and push the brake just as a reaction. Not sure if that stopped it’s roll or it stopped on it’s own.
It was almost a life changing moment as someone was parked behind me with his door open and leg out. If it had rolled two more feet, he could have lost his leg. So, I’ll be setting the parking brake every time from now on.
I just did some research and found that there was a recall B023 for 2006 Land Rovers for out an of spec parking Pawl.. Wonder if mine was done. It could be out of spec from wear, I guess, or just didn’t engage this time well.

Interesting that you brought this up, as I had a unique situation happen during an off road trip. Mine didn't move as yours did, but it made some interesting noise when I placed it in Park. Never happened before, and now two years later has never happened again. I've never done any research as you did though, but I do use the EPB on anything but a perfectly flat area.
Sorry I couldn't offer any info that would help, but my one time issue does IMO seem related to what you experienced.
