Default Nokian Outpost AT

Need to replace a set of General Grabber AT2s … on a 2005 LR3. 255/60 18s and found very limited tires in this size with an all terrain tread. Availability is also an issue. My local tire guy suggested the new Nokian Outpost AT, available and a reasonable price. Tread pattern looks good.

Does anyone have any experience with the tires? I know Nokian has a good winter tire rep but a relatively new in the year round market.

You are not wrong....I love my Nokian Hakkas, but not sure about an AT tire from them. The tread pattern looks kind of tame, to me, too. I don't have any experience with the Outposts, though....sorry. I see that there are Duratracs available in a 265/60R18....which isn't much better than the 260 series and would likely serve you well.

I had a heck of a time finding the right tires. We technically can not use SL rated and need XL rated or better. So right there things are limited. I have no experience with Nokian, only Cooper Zeon LTZ which are amazing and now I have Bridgetone Dueler Revo IIIs @ 275/65/18 which are really good. I wanted Toyo Open Country ATIII but not available for some time.
