I check the LR3 section more often the the RR section, so I'll copy and paste my response here as well...

P0500 - Vehicle speed signal invalid - This is based off of ABS signal over HS CAN

P0198 - Engine oil temp sensor signal high - Never seen this fault on this engine, but fault could be open circuit, so I would check wiring first, sensor is mounted next to pressure sensor in the oil cooler(where the filter mounts)

P0071 - Ambient air temp sensor signal high - Seen this a few times, but not too common, seen both wiring and sensor issues. Sensor is located mounted to the back of the bumper support rail, behind the grill.

P0851 - P/N input invalid - Each time I've seen this it has been erroneous, and will clear and stay away(P0850 is a different story)

To digress, are you having any ABS issues/warnings? What does the temp display in the dash say? Any overheating issues?

Codes were U0155, U0101, U0121, P0500, P0198, P0071 and P0851. The truck was in an minor front end accident at 15k miles and has been sitting for 6 years. Water got into the battery box and on the surrounding modules. The truck was running when some body work started, the radiator and oil cooler have been removed and the right front quarter panel was replaced. That is when it was put into storage.....phil

U codes, or comms codes are not abnormal to have, as long as they don't come right back you will be fine.

These are also not always 'communication lost', they can be 'invalid data' so say there is a failed wheel speed sensor(possible cause of the P0500) this would fault the ABS, and the ABS would then send out an 'invalid data' message, which would flag a U code.

yes, there is an ABS fault listed as well uo 121 lost communication with atni-lock brake system ABS control module. The truck isn't running right now so I don't know if it has overheating issues. I doubt it. It only has 15k miles on it. It was in a light front end accident a few years back. I got it and am trying to get it up and running.

it is showing a transmission fault, limited gear, E on the dash
Bonnet open
suspension fault
parking brake fault
neutral switch fault Phil
