When inserting the key and the system comes on line the odometer momentarily shows a negative milage (?) number then everything goes to normal indications. What is the negative number indicating and is there a way or even a reason to eliminate or change the number?

edit: found it. It is the distance that the service is past due. Should have been reset by the dealer last time I took it in for service. The -47K was a surprise to me.

 

I believe that's mileage until next maintenance required....
