Unhappy Oh no! Amber check engine light

So my check engine light came on. Dropped by the auto parts store and had them hook it up. First code P0171 to lean, second code P0174. Any help with the codes would be great! Praying for an easy fix!:

Too lean is an air leak or under reporting MAF sensor. I would try cleaning the MAF with proper cleaner and also remove the throttle body and clean it really well.

The throttle plate gets oil carbon build up which can result in this condition.

Let us know how you make out.

I will try those things, but I must say I know very little about the MAF and throttle body. Any suggestions on cleaner for both. Maybe I can find a video that shows how to remove and clean. Thanks a bunch for the previous info and any subsequent info on cleaners. Also any idea what a new MAF sensor might run or where to by one other than dealer?

This is what I use for cleaning the MAF sensor.

You can use any throttle body / carb cleaner you see at advance or similar stores.

Atlantic British always gets my business for LR specific parts. This link will show the sensors for the LR3.

FWIW, there are plenty of vids on YouTube on how to do this. Just search for LR3 throttle body.

Here's one to get you started:
