Default outer tie rod end

is it worth it to replace the outer tie rod and lower ball joint myself or should I get a shop to do it. if I do it myself what are the major issues that seem to pop when someone does this repair?

Haven't done these jobs on the LR yet, but most common issue with suspension parts is getting bolts / nuts to crack loose without breaking them, and since you are working on the front end you will need to get a professional alignment once done or be prepared to burn through a set of front tires in short order.

Do you typically work on your own vehicles? If so, this job shouldn't scare you off.

yes I have, I was just wondering how much of a pain this would be and if it's worth doing myself. I looked at it last night doesn't look to bad. I started with wd-40 and will do this for a week before I start to help loosen up the bolts.

It's very simple I replaced my outer and innerspring about two months ago. Just make sure you can get aligned right after you complete the tie rod job.

Sea foam deep creep.

It's insane. I turned a local LR tech onto it and he was amazed. It's really that much better than wd.
