Default PCV noise or valve cover leak? (video)

Hi guys,
First time post here! I had a hissing sound from the passenger side of the motor so I went ahead and replaced the PCV valve as a precaution. After replacing the valve, the hissing noise is still there. I'm wondering if this is simply the normal noise of the PCV valve or does is sound like I have a leak from my valve cover gasket/sparkplug tube gasket?

Could it be an exhaust leak? Maybe look for a hole in the manifold...

I had a noise like this for a long time, never got it to go away.

>replaced PCV
>replaced PCV to intake hose
>checked intake hoses for any leaks

If it hasn't caused a CEL it won't be a huge issue for now.

So you think this isn't a normal sound for the 4.4L?

I have that same sound. Trying to figure it out also. I ordered a new PCV before finding this post. Since last year anything changed with the noise?

Sounds pretty normal to me. In fact I was working on a friends LR3 tonight and it has the same sound. At first I though it was a leak in the AC lines, we were charging it up. Just the PCV, they can be rather loud like that. I think its at times louder than other times because of the EGR being open or not - maybe, thats just a guess. The 4.4 really, really hates vacuum leaks. Open the oil fill cover or even the oil dip stick and the engine can faulter. So if it was a really intake leak it would be running horribly. But the engine sounds healthy.

noise hasn’t changed since last year. No cels or other issues either. I chalked this sound up as normal.
