Default Rear Bumper Alignment Off

See the difference in the gap between the top of the bumper and the lower trim from left to right side.

Never noticed this before, might have been like this since I bought it. Now I can't not notice. Looked around underneath and above and cannot figure out why the bumper is so uneven. Anyone have any tips? Should I bother taking the whole thing off?

From here it looks like that ridged piece that sits on top of the bumper is the one that's warped or uneven.

I agree. Looks like the step pad is lifting on the right side.

Can that piece be replaced individually? Or even just removed individually to inspect?

There is styrofoam between the bumper and bumper cover, guess could get squashed some if you stand on the bumper

My LR3 rear bumper has had a similar uneven gap from day one. It's like an optical illusion; I see the unevenness and can feel it when I run my finger through the gap, but I can't figure out which part is misaligned.
