…got a little trail rash last weekend (please see below). Anyone have any success on a DIY cleanup or restore process? I was thinking sanding lightly with very fine sand paper and then hitting it with 303 protectant. Thoughts? Thanks!

 

You could try with a heat gun.

 

That sounds like something I'd ham-handedly screw up!

....corollary question: anyone here ever replaced one of these? Is it relatively easy as a DIY?

 

Raptor coat the whole bar.

 

Rear bumper cover is not hard to replace. Finding a replacement with no scratches at a reasonable price is another story.

I recommend removing it, sanding then repainting the entire bumper. Lots of exterior trim paint options at auto supply stores

 

its pretty easy to swap covers just take the time to find all the clips lol
