Default Remote lock/unlock INOP

Hey all new to LR3 ownership. When I bought the rover the remote lock/unlock functions worked as expected. Now I have nothing! I have access to and utilized an RF tester and found the key fob to be emitting RF when commanded. I can be right next to the vehicle and still not have remote locking/unlocking operation. Any common issues that others have come across that can lead me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

Default This how it works

The service manual has a section on Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems. It is a description of how the system works. Without that, even reading error codes (if there are any) will not help much.

Please note that information about how the key works is on page 11 and information about the receiver is on page 13.

Take note of which modules talk to each other and how a broken wire or low voltage may affect their performance.

That should be a good starting place.

Hope that helps
Jeff

The diagrams of locations really helped out, I was able to find the power to the RF receiver had no power. Checked fuse 43 in the CJB and found okay. Decided to run a new wire to the RF receiver rather than rip apart the truck to find the issue with the wire. All good now! Thanks

I have more than one wire "single wire" ran to various modules. Some times just a short one to the closest ground lug. One of the luxuries of living in the country is you get good at repairing chewed up wire looms
Glad it all worked out for you.
