Default Remove Sticky Residue from Trim Panels

I pulled off the door protector trim panel deals, because they were rubbing up against each other, and now I can't get the remaining glue residue off the paint. I've tried:
  • The rubber eraser things that attach to a drill. This got most of it off.
  • Plastic scrapers. Also helped.
  • Dual action polisher with orange pad and meguairs compound.
  • Magic eraser
  • Polisher with wool pad and Tri-Cut II compound
After all of that you can see what's left in the picture. Any other ideas?! Driving me nuts.

did you try goof off? the strong stuff, not the thin spray
if you keep attacking it physically, you could just wear down your finish

Yeah I'm done with the buffer for now. Scared to marr it up more than I may have already.

I used Goo Gone Automotive with a plastic scraper. It got all the goo off, what's left is like embedded in the paint.
