Replacement key fob
Well, it must be possible so probably the video is for real. The only questions I ask are where did the new key blade appear from and more importantly, the key fob.
Cutting the key blade can be a bit of a trick but I know it can be done with the correct blank and a proper machine.
As to the key fob, I have difficulty believing that any easy to get and cheap printed circuit board of the correct frequency will work. It should be possible I guess, but again where?
Then there is the question of how much does the programmer cost? The economics of acquiring all the items may not make sense for a single owner to purchase same.

I checked the website out and it appears the low cost programmer costs about three hundred US dollars; the one size fits all programmer, eight hundred.
Also, the unit may not work for model year 2005 as it suggests 2006 to 2013 3's and 4's - but that may be a typo.

Bruce,
I asked about key/remotes on the nanocom or maybe AULRO forum a few months ago. It's on their list. They said it would be pretty simple to code since they've already got the routine for their MSV-2.

I guess I have not been keeping up with advances in key cloning.
I did not realize that the key software was even on the horizon as far as the Nanocom was concerned; it is something to look forward to as going thru the dealer is not the most fun experience.
Thanks for the heads up.
