I have an aftermarket set from eBay that is a knockoff of the OEM bars. They were $120 or so.

The quality isn't fantastic, but it's not absolute trash. They locked in and have been on the truck for 2 years now. I've used them to transport my two person kayak and even a large Christmas tree at highway speeds. The only issue is that the little screw that you use to loosen to adjust them has started to strip, meaning if I want to move them around again, I may need to get a new screw.

 

Any of you guys who have bars available in colorado by chance?

 

I bought Allmakes brand, and were 1/2 the cost of LR brand. I had been told they are the OEM supplier for the rack bars, the side steps and a few other accessories.

Old thread but I will be removing my stock cross bars in a month or so if you want some genuine LR cross bars. One of the lock cylinders is missing and the PO lost the key so I would only want a minimal amount for them.

 

How will you remove them if the lock cylinder and key is missing? Are you going to have to destroy them in order to take them off?

 

I'll get a lock pick kit and unlock them, I also have a few Yakima lock keys I'll try first to see if I get lucky.
