Why would you not use new ones? If top are new OEM, then check the bottoms maybe. Next step may be to load the rear bags of air and manually manipulate everything to locate for sure. Any oil works, don't need a lot just enough to lubricate. Do both sides of the joint.

No no...what i'm saying is that there are new top joints in - they are Lemfoerders...and that i shouldn't bother with them because they are new...or should I?

If new, leave em alone. Bottoms ones, if old, lubricate by injecting oil into the rubber boot on each end then seal the injection point so water can not get in.
