Default Suspension troubleshooting…

So I have been on a 3 month roller coaster with the LR3 in various ways. I have had air suspension problems and replaced both front struts because I know one was leaking through trial and error. I replaced both and now the car can level itself and for the most part seems good. As a part of my troubleshooting, I replaced the front valve block with an Amazon cheapo and the left height sensor with an Amazon cheapo. Both will eventually be replaced with the original LRs.

I had put in an Amazon AMK clone air compressor but realized it was not the problem so I put back in the original LR AMK compressor. Recently, I tried to replace the middle reservoir block with an Amazon Cheapo to try to address the issue that is illustrated in the video below that was happening with the stock reservoir block. It was very interesting because it seemed to behave correctly with none of the erratic gallery pressure numbers but I would get this error and throw the yellow suspension fault:C1A18-64 (AF) Pressure increases too rapid when filling reservoir - Algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure

So I put back in rhe LR Reservoir block and now I am back to the same odd numbers on the gap tool in this video. To review, the only non LR parts I have in are the front valve block and the left height sensor.

In this video, I sent the suspension down to access height and then back up to normal and then extended. Notice the gallery pressure fluctuating from about 40 to about 80.

Am I chasing a ghost here or is there actually an issue?

(Sorry about the music…lol)

I was getting the same code upon every startup. In my case, it was a faulty center valve block, and the valve must have been sticking resulting in pressure increase faster than the algorithm expected. I replaced the seals and the valve seemed to move okay when I had it open, but the problem persisted.

Putting in a new genuine valve block solved the problem for me. I don’t have experience with other brands.

My other symptom was slow to raise to off road height, likely because the center valve block wasn’t allowing air from the reservoir to the struts quickly enough.
