Default Tank Pressure Constantly up and down - no leaks

Help!

My LR3 holds perfect height for days on end. New bags, New front and rear valves. Rebuilt hitachi compressor.

However, I noticed when driving the compressor keeps coming on and on. I checked on Gap tool and see that tank pressure is dropped down to 25psi in a couple minutes, compressor kicks on to bring it back up, repeat repeat.

Always needs to run compressor to change to offroad height and takes quite a while. Unless I catch it right when it refills then I get a quick lift.

I’m not hearing any leaks. What in the world could this be?!

Thanks for any advice!

Sounds like the tank. Spray it down with windex and look for leaks

Even more strange, today I noticed it was holding fine. Does it have an exhaust valve or anything that could be getting stuck open?

Thanks! I’ll dig into it and see what I can find. Do you know what normal pressure should be in the gallery?

The metal caps are the best idea if rebuilding/replacing that cap. I have a good spare plastic cap from rebuilding mine if someone needs it. Kit came with a metal one.

Is the cap on the AMK metal or plastic?

AMK doesn’t have the fault prone cap.
