Throttle Responce
I recently took a long highway trip in my LR3 and noticed that the throttle responce is terrible when I hit the gas pedal to the floor quickly to pass at high speed AND from a standstill.
When I do hit the gas pedal to the floor in either circumstance there is a good2 second delay before theengine kicks in and it goes. This can be very dangerous when trying to pass or get out of the way of other cars in dangerous situations.
Otherwise the throttle response is normal under all other conditions. I did have it serviced for a 'bucking' from a stop. They reprogrammed the transmission or something.
Any feedback is appreciated.

If they reset the computer, chances are it will take sometime for the lr3 to get used to your driving style again. Another thing is that sometimes the lr3 will stifle the throttle to keep you from damaging the engine but, if it has never done this before then I doubt thats what it is doing. I'd wait a couple weeks and see if it keeps doing it, if it does there might be a problem with the way they reprogrammed it.
Remember that the throtle on the LR3 is electronic. There is a sensor at the bottom position on the gas pedal that signals the computer that you want to go fast, NOW. Depres the gas pedal to the floor until you feel a "click". In theory, that's how it SHOULD work. In reality my experience is that if I stomp on the gas pedal fast, it confuses the computer for a second before it rects correctly to the imput. I get a better, faster response from the drivetrain by pressing the gas pedal fast but gradual to the 3/4 position, than by stomping it to the floor.
Also remember that in normal mode, the transmission will prioritise gas milage and smooth riding over neck jerkin accelerations. If you're looking for all 300 ponies going to the tires right now, you have to be in sport's mode. At the end of the day still have to keep in mind that a 2 1/2 ton truck is just not going to blow your socks off but if you understand the workings of all those thousands of sensors, she'll get up and go respectably.
