Transfer gear warning light flashing 2005 lr3
So the first thing I did is checked the battery condition it's good. I checked all the connectors at the transfer case and it is clean. I checked the transfer case module connectors and I found corrosion at the yellow connector terminals. I also opened the TCCM and found little bit of corrosion on it but no indication of chips being fried. So this was causing the suspension not to to up and range selector not to work?? Is there anything else I should be looking for??
Those codes could just be the gear selector linkage on the side of the box, a known problem. Could be the connector on the transfer box

Found on the AULRO forum - could be the transfer case needs calibration.
This may be all that is required.
So the fix was to start it, put it in neutral and re-select high/low range. I was going to try and prove it and write it up here but never did.
The thing I forgot under the pressure was the need to put it in Neutral to change Range, so had a few anxious hours.

Sounds like it needs to be serviced/repaired. Could certainly be the solenoid. There is a thread somewhere on some forum giving the OHM readings. Search and see if you can maybe diagnose the solenoid. New part is about $80 and install requires drawing the fluid.
I can't guarantee that is the issue, should be tested first really. Although I have one to install even though mine is fine (preventative measure).
I know of no way to get it to shift manually. Might be a way with jumping the wires to manipulate it, but thats risky.
Try this though, get in and turn the key to II, then off, then back to II, then off and on the third time start it. Do this quickly though, no waiting for dash lights. But not insanely fast. This is a trick to get around some transmission and differential faults.
