Sorry, i didnt put that in there that i had it disconnected and checked the solenoid itself, yeah i got nothing from the solenoid, no ohms. Im going to double check it and make sure thats what it is.

I checked the solenoid again, and this time i got .7 ohms so this is telling me that is good right. Its has to be shift actuator because at first I only had the P186D clutch actuator stuck code, and then after that I tried to re-calibrated then I got this code P0915. Both of them are stored in the TCCM.

Actually .7 would seemingly indicate a faulty one. If you check the thread that discusses testing (a couple comments back) thats the reading they got for a faulty one. They did the math also, at that resistance it would be pulling a whopping 15amps to operate. I would say replace it and hope thats the cure. I am starting to think it is.

Keep us updated. As for fluids, I cant visualize how low that solenoid is on the transfer box. You may be able to pull it without draining but keep a catch pan and some fluid on hand to top it back off once installed.

I put in the new transfer case solenoid and no luck, it is still throwing the same codes. I'm going to order the transfer case actuator, I honestly think that what is.

Very odd on the same ohm reading. I wonder what a new one should read? Unless the new one is defective? Would be very unlikely but not unheard of... Well try the actuator, pretty much the only other thing you can replace besides ripping it open.

My question is this...what controls the solenoid when hitting the low and high range?? Does the actuator command it or does the switch itself command the solenoid?? That's what I don't understand...shouldn't i had felt the solenoid clicked? The only time I got it to move is when i hooked the battery to solenoid that's when it moved.. I'm confused here..

You did check all fuses. If the solenoid works with volts applied then the source needs looking at, switch wire etc.
