Default using a lift and air suspension cut off

simple question, but cant seem to find answer....need to lift up the lr3 to rotate tires etc, take it to a shop, they start to lift the vehicle and the air bags causes wheels to droop very significantly...

is there a way to cut off air suspension or is there a proper procedure to lift this car up in a shop????

lift by the frame rails on a 2 post lift. you'll need to put the 2" spacers up
and make sure they don't jack on the air suspension compressor housing at the l/s rear corner. 4 post lift , swing jacks lift on the front control arms, and rear lower shock mount.

SO when I take my LR3 into a Ford shop and they tell me they can't put it on the hoist because a Land Rover can only be serviced at a LR dealer, they are full of **** then?

As long as the jacks are put in the correct places, there is no special computerized magic that only a Land Rover dealer can do?

thanks

What is a Ford tech going to be able to tell You about Your Land Rover?
Bring it to a Land Rover dealer or Land Rover Specialist

Thanks for the quick reply. In this case, I just need the wheels balanced, as I am getting some shake in the steering wheel. The Land Rover dealership can't get me in for another week and a half and I need to go out of town this weekend. The Ford shop could get me in but they apparently have a tech working there who used to work at LR telling them they cannot hoist the vehicle.

From what I'm reading here, there is no reason why another shop could not hoist the truck without damaging the suspension, as long as the jacks are in the right places. Correct?

Take it from me you can lift them with no issues. Dealers do all the time. The one that worked for Land Rover must not know squat about them. Hell you can lift any land rover on a two post. The only issue is the old bags on the p38 and the classics can come unseated but that's not your fault. that just means the bags are bad.

Jeez I mean comeon. Just jack the damn thing up. Yes it will try to adjust the bags, but once it gets sort of out of range, it gives up. If I can put it up on jack stands in my driveway to rotate tires, they can pick it up with a lift.
