Okay, I feel like I've encountered this before either myself or on this board, but can't recall.

I lock the door with the FOB. The lights flash per usual. The rear doors and psx front locks. The driver side front appears to lock, but from the outside it can be opened....and then the alarm goes off.

Anyone experience this?

Same here. So I have the habit now of pressing the lock on the FOB three times, that is always enough to get a proper lock.

This is likely your problem, but this video was not well made in the sense that you need to watch til the end. He tries on fix and it does not work, in the end he try another method and it works.

 

its your actuator for sure. I have fixed one before, but as a general rule I just replace with new for another 10 years of service.

 

I assumed it was the actuator but hit the button twice and its fine

 

I can’t explain it, but I’ve seen it. Actuator fixed it.

The actuator is super easy to remove and fix, it only took me about a half hour. Permanent fix and it only costs you time.

 

Hmmmm.....and the "fix" is per the video above? We never really saw the before state of the metal he bent.

 

I suppose once you actually pull out the actuator you will understand why it works, the metal piece isn't the problem it's the plastic that gets worn over time from what I remember. Bending the metal piece accounts for the wear on the plastic.

It definitely solved all my locking problems.
