Default Water around dome light

Yeah, I know! Another leaking windshield, sunroof, drain lines, etc... question. I apologize but I wasn't sure where else to go.
I've had water dripping from my dome light and in my floor boards (driver and passenger). Here is what I've done so far:
1. Sealed the windshield, just in case.
2. Completed A-Pillar Leak repair
3. Completely sealed off the sunroof with flex seal tape. (I know, it is nonoperational now but I was desperate).
Good news!!! The water issue in the floor boards on both sides seems to be fixed. BUT I still have water dripping from the dome light area and soaking the headliner around the light as well. The sunroof is completely sealed and the front of the vehicle during the last storm was actually parked under an awning so it was not getting any direct, heavy rain. Where in the heck is the water coming from? HELP!!!!

My guess is your drain tubes are backed up and spilling over the tray

there are now how-tos for both the front set of drains and the rear stickied in the tech section

read and perform that work, then check again.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. The front sunroof is sealed shut. How is water getting into the drain tubes? Are there drain tubes associated with the rear roof glass?

Are you sure it’s sealed?

Run a hose over it with the Headliner pulled slightly down in the front.

One would think water can evaporate quickly, but if its sitting in an area with little air movement it will stay quite a while. Are you sure its just not water still up in the sunroof pain flowing around as you drive?

I suggest at least one thing to do. Remove the lower dash panel above the brake/gas pedals, if LHD. Look for the sunroof drain to the upper corner. The tech guide will help get a better idea on location, carefully pull it and snip as much off as you can and see if water flows out. The design is horrible and they clog easily. They also tend to rot and disconnect resulting in wet floors as the drains then dump right into the cabin (remember, three things cause we floors - windshield cowl warpage, a-pillars which need a proper kit for sealing and sunroof drain rot).

I have also read cases where the drain tubes are disconnected from the sunroof cassette. You have to pull the liner down a little to inspect for that. And in one other case, a metal drain tube on the cassette has rusted through causing water to pour into the lamp assembly.

Basically, if you still have an issue you need to do more work and really dig into things.
