Is LR3 Wired for Brake Controller?
I have a Hopkins Agility brake controller in my Toyota Tundra and would like to move it to my wife's LR3. I have a quick connect adapter for the Tundra, but Hopkins told me the LR3 isn't wired for a brake controller...is this true? If not, what has anyone done for a trailer with electric brakes?

Randy-yes your LR3 should be wired for trailer brakes if you have the tow package. If you have the tow package here is the procedure: 1. Remove the fascia under the steering column (3 screws, some swearing and it is off) 2. Take a flashlight and look up under the steering column. There will be various wire bundles. The one you are looking for is doubled up on itself and has an open "quick connect" end. Release the from the wire holster. You will then need an adapter wire bundle for Ford F150 brake controller wiring. I bought one at Auto Zone for about $15. Attach the the adapter bundle to the LR3 wire and then your controller to the adapter. You are now set. Hope this helps.

I'll get the $15 auto zone part, what other connection will I need at the rear bumper where I plug in the trailer? Right now I have the flat 4 pin trailer connection. Also, am I to assume that I have the trailer package if I have the light on the dash that flashes a green trailer image when the turn signal is used?

You have only 4-pin? not familiar with that setup.
This is the LR part for the full trailer wiring harness at the rear: YWJ500220
All have the "trailer package" if you just plug in the extra bits for the brake controller up front, and the trailer connection at the back.
Add your own brake controller (and of course, the LR or aftermarket hitch receiver) and you should be done.
Your flashing symbol means whatever 4-pin you have is working (with non-LED trailer lights)
LED trailers will not be seen by the LR3 and opens another can of works with resistors, relays, etc.
