Yes, headliner had to come out. Just too hard to do it with it in. Removal is a PAIN since you have to strip so much of the interior, even the rear black cargo bin things. Good time to recover it if needed!

That is SWEET ArmyRover - did you keep up????

Today I finished my GMRS radio install which outputs audio to AUX, spliced in behind the radio. I also moved the AUX port to the dash. MUCH easier access now! I did have to castrate the factory AUX port for this to work, for some reason my volume was like half with it still hooked up and mine just spliced in. When I snipped the wires heading off to the factory one, my volume was back to normal. I think it was a ground issue combined with my lack of audio input understanding.

My LR3 was simply there as transport and support if needed. We competed in trek in a Defender and it was amazing. It was a Land Rover enthusiast dream come true driving a soon to be piece of Land Rover History..

Default Never what it seems

Had a small leak in the right front axle housing. I thought OK simple enough, I have one of those on the self. Swap it out this week and still make the beach clean up event on Padre Island on Saturday.

BUT NO....... I found this
Axle housing bearing is kauput. New one is 10 days out at best, so no camping this weekend. Maybe there is a cars and coffee event I can take my gen1 JCW MINI to.

Looks like the extension housing side, passenger side? If so you may be able to source a used one cheap. eBay or even locally and just swap the entire extension housing for now.
