What did you do to your LR3 today?

Changed the spark plugs out on my wife's 06 HSE. I "was" planning on going with NGK's as that's what it came with off the factory floor, but they're not so easy to find 8 in-stock in my neck of the woods. I laughed when I noticed the LR3 took the same exact spark plug as my older D2's. I've had excellent results with Autolite XP Iridium plugs in my D2's so that's what I went with in the LR3. While I was at it I cleaned the throttle body plate and was happy to find it pretty clean. Also replaced the drivers side A Pillar Exterior trim that decided to explode going down the highway not to long ago.

Nope very easy job, on the drivers side once you remove the silver heat shield (one phillips head holds it into place) access is clean and simple. Passenger side has two heat hose lines nearby, but they didn't bother me.

Worked on the lr3 for 6ish hours today
I drained the transmission, removed the pan, pulled the valve body, replaced the solenoids, installed the new filter and pan, refilled the transmission, road tested, and it is shifting like a dream, before it felt like you would get rear ended coming to a stop, you could feel 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st also had an issue a few times from 3rd to 4th and it would go into limp mode. Now it is awesome and shifting as it should. In a few weeks I'm going to be doing the diff oils; has anyone done the transfer case

If it was a Ford, Chev or Dodge, probably never, but with the 3, I think new oil in everything once in a while is good preventive maintenance - and it gives you a chance to see if any chunks are in the oil.
Your 3 looks real good in the jpg's above. Is that some sort of tow hook underneath that is visible in the first picture?

Just thought I would share my most recent journey. It began with moving my passenger seat and triggering the airbag fault. After pulling the seat and looking for bad connections and re-seating all the connectors (and in the process learning all about the electrical system in the seats) I finally found mention online that the error light will not reset without a LR scan tool. Do I spend $200 on a scanner or $550 on the GAP IID BT?
Well I have been living with 1 key fob for 5 years so it's about time to quit tempting fate, and get another. I bought the GAP tool from Lucky8 ($512, free shipping, no tax) and a refurb key on ebay ($90).
What a great tool! First was reading the error codes. There were many, dating back to 2014. I saved them for later reference and reset all the codes. I am happy to say the airbag fault cleared and has not returned.
Next was the key. With the GAP tool, this was a simple, 10 minute process. It worked just like it was meant to. Then I found a locksmith that could cut the key (there are not many) and now I am all set.
I am looking forward to digging in to all the other tasks I can perform with this tool.

She cranked right to life, no issues. Made me happy. She needs washed something fierce but we have a hurricane/tropical storm/big wind thing bearing down on us so washing it seems a bit pointless today.
Taking it tomorrow to have the wheel balance checked I think I threw a weight or two on a tire.
