Default Maybe...

My Coopers are 32.6" OD. I am curious what else I'd really need to do even if I won't end up doing it.

Thanks for the responses all.

I'm having a hard time searching -- coming up with definitive specs to run 33-34" tires with 18 wheels.

I'm assuming I can achieve all this with the full SYA kit, IIDTOOL and Rims and some trimming?
+ Harness relocation
+ AC Line relocation
+ Flattening out the wheel well pinch welds ?

Can anyone help -- Which backspacing is the most ideal?
I'd prefer a more skinny tire vs a wide tire personally.

I think I'm going to go with the Tuff Ant wheels in charcoal.

I can't find any 18" beadlocks beside the Tibus 18" $$$ Nice but not practical right now.

18 inch - Tibus Offroad -
$6K in wheels?
Not today lol.

I just found out that Lucky8 has the SYA kit on backorder. Even they said they don't know what Proud Rhino is doing or when they will get it?
Kinda bummed about that because I'm building the lift around that component.

I placed my order from Prospeed UK. ETA is 3 weeks from Tomorrow.
I was going to mix and match amour from various vendors, but decided against it.
Hopefully their aluminum panels hold up. their marketing makes it feel like a well thought out kit.
I went with their Ultimate Package.

QUESTIONS -- The Tactical Rover bumper seems to have a built in or extended skid protection in the front? It has more material that drops down vs the ARB or Proud Rhino options.
Does anyone know if this will interfere with different types of skid plates? I'm wondering if the TR bumper will work with the Prospeed full body skid protection I have ordered.

I did the same with the roof rack. I ordered the Prospeed "Essentials Package"

The BRITPART BT IIDTOOL showed up today.

It would be interesting to see what you do. Mainly trimming and such. I have 275/70r18 on mine and the right rear rubbed the inner fender when compressed. This is with 2" rods installed. Used my gap tool and realized it was 12 mm -13 mm lower and adjusted and so far have not had any more that I'm aware of. It would be cool though Armyrover to see you more experienced boys do to rectify it.

Angle grinder and a sledge hammer it’s really not that elegant lol.

If you are are running narrow 33’s factory offset is fine it clears the upper control arm. You can even run factory alloys with the narrow choices. I feel that the truck does better off road with the wider tire.

I’ll post up some pics tomorrow if I remember. It’s really not much to add wide 33’s.

Lift, front bumper, wheels, and trim

I have the prospeed rack it is one sleek looking rack. Been thinking about the control arm sliders but have had other priorities. Saw them in action during the Red Clay Rally on the Lucky8 LR4 seemed to do the trick

Update:

The primary component to my lift -- the SYA Lift Kit -- is on backorder
Lucky8 has no real idea when it will ship. First I was told 1-2 weeks, now i'm being told AT LEAST 1-2 MONTHS

I literally have everything on-route or in my possession for this build but that.

Like FekKKK!

Ok, end rant.

So anyone got an SYA kit for sale?

I have 5X Tuff Ant Wheels are on the UPS truck as we speak. They should be on my side of the border next week.
I need to figure out the TPMS solution once the wheels arrive. I understand OEM sensors wont work due the the shape of the wheel.
They recommend using the band type, but I don't understand why certain aftermarket, non-band type TPMS sensors won't work with these wheels.

This TPMS sensor "in theory" should work because its not a hard mount like the OEM It's a pull through valve type.

It is held in place only by the rubber valve itself.
So again, "in theory" is the wheel can accept a valve stem, this type of aftermarket sensor should also work...?

I also ordered 4 Motorsports BORA Hubcentric 25mm spacers just in case.
I'm still not sure if running 33-34" rubber will require the additional clearance with the Tuffant wheels. But I figure it's better to be safe than sorry.

The IID tool works. For troubleshooting and diagnostics, it's perfect, simple. It just works.
It came in handy when I enabled the towing features on the LR3 after installing the trailer wiring kit from British Atlantic.

I don't exactly see how its practical for lifting. In my opinion, it's a bit "slow" and cumbersome to connect, sync, calibrate, lift, adjust.... yadda yadda.

The MudTech4X4 ANITAS lift showed up yesterday.

It took 15 minutes to install. only tools required were a Torx bit and a Philips screwdriver. It was a painless, plug-n-play install.
Now I have the lift controls available at the push of a button.

No Calibration required.
No connecting, no logging in, no authorizing, no fumbling with screens.

7 preset button functions. The device is pre calibrated.
7.5" of lift available with a single button push.
