for the first 5 minutes or so after I turn on my '06 LR3 theres a strange noise that comes from under the passenger seat that, for lack of a better description, sounds like a fart. It makes this noise randomly while I drive the car and have no idea what the cause is for this. Does anyone have any insight on this?

 

it sounds like its you air susp. compressor, or at least the incorrectly installed cover for it, however you should hear this more so on the drivers side of the car, have you had any work done on it recently, or bottemed out on anything?

if the air suspension cover is cracked or broken you get a fartish sound
but again that is louder on the driv side the pump runs more often than you would think
mine was busted buy a tire shop when they put my new tires on
they were good paying for it.
