Wife said she went to pull in to post office the other day and car just revved up like it was in neutral. She was able to get it thrown back in to Drive and go. I didnt think to much about it but I have taken a look at it and I dont see anything obvious that is causing the problem. I am hoping this is a linkage problem, and not a problem inside the tranny.

Does anyone know of this issue

Sounds like a new one. I would look at the shift linkage, particularly if you are in a rust belt.

If the brake light switch is acting up, it would prevent shifting at all. Here are some other bits to look at.

VYH500020 - Nut
TYG000050 - Bolt
TZT500040 - Bush
TYF000050 - Washer - spring

Below is a link to brake light switch info. Check your front and rear signal lights for correct operation and the two rear brake light bulbs. If all seems to be working OK, are all bulbs genuine, or are some of far east origin?
Have you replaced a bulb recently? Bulbs problems can show up as tranny problems.
