2010 Range Rover Sport 5.0 Starter Stuck? Something electrical
We have a 2010 Range Rover Sport 5.0 about 62,000 miles. It has always run like a top, although we have had some electrical gremlins. My wife parked truck on Friday night. Ran fine. She tried to start it this morning to go to church and the dash was like a video game. Lights flashing, the clock was spinning and it would make a sound like it was trying to engage the starter but it would only make one clink/clunk and that is it. Battery is fully charged. I pulled the battery cables and am doing a hard reset. I had to head into work for a few hours. I will try it again when I get home. Any ideas? very strange behavior. we had some rain about 5 days ago, but it ran fine since then.
I will also plug in the Gap Tool and look for codes, nothing on the dash.
thanks Phil

Silly question, but how do you know battery is fully charged? Also, even if you charged it all day, if it has a bad cell, its toast. Have it professionally tested, or if its older than 5 years old, replace it.
Your symptoms are all that of a bad battery.

Alex, I will take dead battery for $100. Charged the battery for a couple of hours and viola! Started right up. These trucks are so power hungry. What a relief. Thanks for the comment. Phil
