Default 2013 Land Rover LR4 won't start

My rover had been running fine - had taken a couple 2 hour trips with it recently, but I went out to start it last night to run errands and it would not start. Things lit up as they usually do, but push button start did not work - would not turn over. It seems electrical to me - like it is locking up - as I have had no problems starting it leading up to last night. Any trouble shooting/guidance/assistance would be most appreciated.

thank you!!

First thing is to check the battery voltage. Do the interior lights or dashboard flicker while pressing the button?

Thank you - appreciate your response. I will check the voltage of the battery and I'll also check how old the battery is.

If you have one, use a voltage meter to see if the battery has a full charge. Land Rovers are very dependent on a strong battery. It may need a jump to get started. If that is the case you can have it checked but most likely time for a new one. You may also just try cleaning the terminals. They sometimes get corroded.

It was deemed that I needed a new battery. I installed it and problem is resolved.
