Good Afternoon,
I have dropped the fuel tank and am changing the leaking plastic dust cover on the top side of the fuel tank. Apparently this is a common fuel leak with the LR3 and LR4. While the tank is off the car I thought it a good idea to replace the internal fuel pump (LR043385). I can access the fuel pump very easily through the 6" diameter whole in the top of the tank however I can't seem to wiggle the fuel pump loose from inside the tank. I also don't see any clips that are holding the fuel pump to the bottom of the tank. Could someone please advise me on how to remove the fuel pump from the inside of the tank on the LR4. Is there some sort of retaining clip or does the pump need to be turned in a certain direction to separate it from the inside of the tank.

If memory serves, you twist the old pump. Check the new one to confirm, should have a tab system at the bottom that locks into the tank.
