Hey guys,

New to Land Rover (after having dreamed about them for many years) -- recently got a beautiful 2011 LR4 that runs like a dream and looks almost brand new (has been very well kept)..

My question pertains to the stereo, which I would like to upgrade (but wouldn't necesarily say that I am dying to upgrade)..

But I am super nervous about putting an aftermarket anything in the truck that isn't Land Rover specific or made.. Am I screwing myself with even toying with this idea? Is it sure to screw up some other component in the truck.. I love how she runs/handles and everything works perfectly right now.. Think an updated stereo would be great, but not at the expense of having more problems later.. Once had a teacher who said, "the enemy of good enough, is 'perfect' "

 

Thanks for bringing my attention to this style of radio it looks great, have you decided whether to fit it or not? I fitted a similar radio to my Mercedes vito van it was in the standard landscape mode the radio fit in as a single din model and the screen was slightly protruding on a swivel mount so I could twist it to face slightly towards the driver position compared to the original merc one ,after seeing this one I looked at it and saw a 12 inch model but I am not sure if it will fit in the discovery, let me know if you manage to fit one and any problems you come across.
