Battery Wire

Hi
Does anyone know the function of this wire?
Mice chewed threw mine and until I reconnected it, had charging system fault warning with the red triangle and battery icons
Wire needs replacement. Any ideas on where to get one?

I do not know the function, but just splice in a similar gauge section of wire.
