This morning my ‘14 LR4 3.0SC V6 was merging onto the interstate when all of a sudden she started shaking real bad. I pulled off at the first exit and by the top of the hill thick bluish white smoke started pouring out of the exhaust. I sputtered into the gas station where she conked off and died. Check engine light finally came on one second before it died. My IIDTool is sitting at home so I have no idea what’s wrong with it. I popped the hood and don’t see any obvious signs of head gasket failure or oil leaking or anything, but the thing won’t move and attempting to restart it is met by the sound of it turning over without any fuel being injected to start. So I am hoping it may be just a HPFP failure, not a total loss of compression, but I won’t know until it’s looked at and diagnosed. The joys of owning an out of warranty JLR product.
