Default Can I disable my electronic parking brake?

Hi LR crew --
My Electronic parking brake has failed for the 2nd time in 5 years... WTF..

It's a $2k job to replace. I'm just done with this thing.. That said, I'm in a habit of using it every time I park, as is my wife. If we pull it now by accident, it engages, faults, and won't release -- rig not really driveable. Got lucky and had it disengage the other day.

Is there a fuse I can pull to just disable it completely?

Thanks so much

Failed for the second time... are you using it?? Or is it ceasing?? Or was the fix an aftermarket pos???
Sure you can disable it... but of course by doing so you will disable the operations of cruise control, traction control, dynamic stability control...
And have that annoying warning light on the dash.

Basically, you will be turning your LR4 into a 1970's F150 with a bag of sand put in the box.

Cheers!

The EPB does need maint at least once a year and if the vehicle is used a great deal offroad and in mud/water, it needs a lot more maint. The process of adjusting etc is well documented - it's a bit of a chore but well worth doing. And as has been noted, it should be used every time the vehicle is parked. It's not a great system, but it's linked to other functions.
