Hi all, I have a 2011 LR4 5.0 V8 with 140K miles.

I can't seem to easily fill up the car with gas. The pump shuts of when I pump at full speed. I can hear that the gas isn't going into the tank quickly enough. I've tried angling the nozzle in different ways. Nothing really helps. Each fill up takes tons of time.

Also, I notice that the tank makes a very loud burping sound back up through the filling tube. This doesn't happen while I am pumping, but while I am driving.

Any thoughts on either issue? Are they related? Thanks!

 

Sounds like problem with the charcoal cannister.

 

Thanks, I'll start there. Do you have any opinions on the best pdf service manual (or similar resource) for the 2011 LR4?

 

There are some service manuals floating around, but most don’t have the sections dealing with the evap control system (including the charcoal cannister). Try searching in the lr4 forum on landroverworld.com, or on youtube. I know several people have changed them out, and you might find a tutorial. I haven’t done it myself.

 

Local independent replaced the fuel canister.
