I've just purchased my first Land Rover, a 2011 LR4.

Overall - I'm pleased so far. But I'm having some difficulty with a couple of technical features.

1. I have an iPhone 6+ that I would like to use for music/podcasts/audio books via the USB port found in the center console. When I connect the cable (I'm using the apple cord used to charge the iPhone), the screen reads "Device Error." Any ideas?

2. I have been unsuccessful programming my garage door opener. I've followed the instructions found in the user manual (Home Link) but have yet to have the LR4 receive the signal. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Any other tips/warnings/advice relative to the 2011 LR4 are greatly appreciated.

Make sure you're following the slightly different procedure for rolling-code openers, if it employs a rolling code. Also, clear the memory all of the homelink buttons before trying to reprogram. I've had no luck with the iphone either, but it sees my old ipod touch 3 lol.
