Default LR4 5.0L Metallic Ticking Sound

Hello good 5.0L folks,

Apologies if this post is redundant, please feel free to direct me to the appropriate thread if so.

I've recently purchased a 2012 LR4 with 173K on the clock. My initial inspection and test drive of the car led me to believe all was well with the car, but after an 80 or so mile drive home I noticed a ticking sound coming from the right side of the engine (passenger side here in the US). I know what you're thinking - timing chains/tensioners/guides. I've felt the tension of the chain through the oil fill cap, and it seems quite taught. It also doesn't seem to exhibit the trademark rattle upon startup that's usually associated with timing gear. After scouring every corner of the internet trying to find someone with a similar sounding engine, I can't seem to find anyone with the exact ticking sound I have. Perhaps you folks could offer a little insight as to what I might be hearing... I'll attach a video below. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hmmm. Tricky that one.

Bit hard to tell via a video but if not timing chain issue... I'd say it's a hopefully belt tensioner/ pulley issue up front or perhaps a slight exhaust leak at a manifold. There's something about it in the wheel well that sounds like puffing of air.

I was wondering about it being a pulley issue of some kind. Perhaps I should pull the belt off this weekend and have a feel around. I’ve also heard that the two high pressure fuel pumps can go bad and become noisy. Any thoughts on that? Thanks!

Default Vacuum pump

From my experience on my lr4 it sounds like your vacuum pump. Mine does it when it's a cold morning start.
