LR4 Won't start
I have had nothing but problems since I bought this car two years ago, I'm so disappointed. My new problem is that it had told me that I was stuck in gear. The gear dial would not go down, nothing would happen. I tried to reset by unplugging the batteries, and checking fuses. Nothing. I was able to find a video on how to get it in neutral and releasing the parking brake so I could have it towed. I also found a video that said maybe it wasn't registering that I was pressing on the brake and would have to replace a part that was found in the middle consul. I figured this was above my pay grade and sent it in. I just got it back yesterday and I find myself stuck in a mall parking lot. This time is won't start at all. I can feel the resistance when I push on the brake and when I push the button to turn it on it is telling me to "Press Brake When Starting" and you can hear the faintest of clicks like its might try and turn over. Please help me if this has happened to you and how you fixed it. I'm so over this car. Am I the only one? Is it common with this year/model to have this many problems?
I got it fixed and before I could trade it in I had a new problem. I'm having to replace the "struts", the hydraulics that raise and lower the car all went out. Another $3000, ugh! I feel like I'm i a bad relationship that I can't get out of, LOL.
Thanks,
_Kaan
Let me think what it was that time....it wasn't sensing that I was pushing on the break when starting the car. So it wouldn't turn over for that reason. Had to have the center console opened up to replace a part that would sense it.
