Default Maintenance/repair shop options for 2014 LR4

I am in serious consideration of purchasing a 2014 LR4 with less than 40,000 miles but have concerns. See, I live in a very rural town and the closest Land Rover dealer is 5 hours away. While this LR has low miles it has no warranty; I am not sure if the local dealerships ( Honda/Toyota/Chevy/Jeep) could work on this make? This SUV has EVERYTHING I am looking for in an SUV - I am hesitant about the potential no Land Rover mechanic options. Any experience with this?

Take a look under your state for your state or region for Forum Recommended Repair Shops on the General Tech page on this forum. I am about 2.5hrs from any dealers, but have found a good independent mechanic about 30min from my house. A decent Euro repair shop that takes care of BMWs or Mercs should at least take the time to understand the requirements of the vehicle if a LR mechanic is not available.

Given your situation and assuming (maybe wrongly) that you don't know these vehicles well, I'd suggest that getting it properly inspected by someone that does would be extremely important. Given you're remote, your next purchase should be an IID tool. Maybe order one today and use it to check out fault codes, etc when you look at the car.
