Default New Brake Pad Sensor, But warning still on

We have a 2013 LR4. The brake pad sensor light came on. Front brake pad sensor wire was broken. Replaced it with a new one, but the brake pad sensor light will not go off. I had a similar issue when I changed the rear sensor a while back, but after messing with a connection a bit the light went out. No such luck this time. Unplugged and reattached sensor several times, made sure both ends were clean and made sure it was properly connected to the brake. Light is still on. Any suggestions?

It may just be a stored code that would need to be reset.
