The wife and I got an airstream last month and I've been beefing up the LR4 where possible. Since I can't get a load E tire for the OEM 19'' or 20'' wheels, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the new DakarZero 18"x8.5" wheels from EVO Corse. Most people buying these wheels get them for off-road, but my main purpose is simply for a better highway tire while pulling the trailer. Does anyone here happen to have a resource/past experience with how the different 18" tire sizes affect the LR4's gearing? 265/65/18 seems to be about standard, but I'm wondering if I mess with sidewall height or width how that would affect RPM's at 65MPH

You can put in your stock size and what ever size you desire and it will tell you revs per mile etc

 

Good call on the wheels... I have them along with the 265/65/18 falken tires. on my 2011 LR4. simply a joy to run. No issues with gearing etc.
