2003 discovery cd changer hack
Hello,I am wondering if anyone could send me a wiring diagram on how to hack and splice into the factory cd changer to add an aux input,I am aware they sell a piggyback harness but I dont care that much to buy the rover is a woods beater so it does not need to be pretty just work, the cd changer skips bad when driving off road ,so if anyone can help let me know ,and if I figure it out I will do a detailed write up with photos.

There is a black wire harness that connects to the back of the cd changer under the passenger seat. Seat will need to be pushed all the way forward. Unclip that harness and peel or slice the surround/tape off to access the wires inside. You need to find the red, grey, white, and black wires which are (respectively) left+, left-, right+, and right- speaker wires. Splice in a headphone jack and your done. This "mod" no longer makes use of your cd changer but you do have to put a cd in to fool the headunit into thinking there is an audio source coming from cd changer to headunit. Good luck and there are a few other writeups floating around about this.
