Default Can bus

Hi I am currently fitting a discovery td5 engine into a defender tdci. The problem I have is connecting the engine up to the dash. The dash seems to be can feed to work the temp gauge charge light glow plug light mil light and rev counter. I am looking for some sort of converter.

Thanks for you help

Sorry but you need the ecu, the tcu, and the instrument cluster and the bcu to get it to work as all are apart of each other. You need to check out land rover uk for issues and modifications.

Mr Green

The CAN Bus is a very sophisticated data communication network that cannot be simply interfaced with older analogue equipment like the TD5 EMS.

If you are retro fitting old technology like a TD5 engine and ECU, you should also replace your Instrument pack for the equivalent technology version too.
